Amanda Grimes, Executive Director of Children’s Ministry and PREP School

Amanda Grimes has been our dedicated Director of The PREP School since July 2019. Before stepping into her current role, she taught in Rooms B and H, bringing a wealth of experience and passion for early childhood education. Her responsibilities include supervising and training staff, developing educational programs, and ensuring the school maintains the highest standards.

Amanda is from Longview and earned her degree from UT Tyler. Amanda’s connection to The PREP School and First Christian Church runs deep—her husband, Geff, was a PREP kid in the 1980s, and their daughter, Elizabeth, graduated from PREP in 2016. Their family has been an integral part of First Christian Church since 1938.
