Mission & Outreach
As an extension of our faith we become the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in the world around us. We are called to share the love that was given to us by God with all that we come in contact with.
First Christian does a variety of mission work, ranging from serving at Newgate and Hi-Way 80 Rescue Mission to embarking on domestic trips to St. Louis and Joplin. Our next international opportunity will be to serve in Costa Rica and work with followers of Christ in establishing God's Kingdom here on Earth.
Outreach
Outreach of First Christian Church in Longview begins within the hearts of our members and the walls of our building and extends beyond to community, regional, and national programs. FCC Longview continues a long history of being a strong servant church. The current annual budget allocates over $57,000 for Outreach. Just as significant as budgetary commitment is the ever-faithful support of our members who volunteer their time and talents to various agencies in our community. Over $151,000 of in-kind service by our volunteers is given to non-profits in our community.
