Meet Our Pastor
Rev. Dr. Tim Mccollum
Timothy McCollum has been in ministry for 25 years. He has an enduring passion to see the church live into fullness as the Body of Christ. He also has a deep passion for people, hoping to help each person discover the movement of God's presence around them. This leads him to be both curious and grace-filled in interactions both in and out of the church community. He has a love of mission and ministry that he hopes is an encouragement to others.
Having earned a Doctor of Ministry in Transformation Leadership, Timothy continues to pursue and celebrate education in almost every field. This may include anything from theology or leadership to welding or engineering, and even includes martial arts as he hopes to achieve a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do this fall. One of his greatest joys is helping people find those moments in their lives when something “clicks” and helps them see things in new ways.
Timothy has been married to his wife, Christy, for 6 years, and each of them has a child from a previous marriage, Aeon and Nykko, respectively.
Timothy and Christy are both excited about the possibilities of being involved at the church and engaging the community. Timothy deeply believes in the identity of the Disciples as a “movement for wholeness in a fragmented world” and is hopeful that the opportunity to serve in Longview will be a movement of God that draws others into a deeper faith and abiding love. He currently hosts a podcast that often ends with the thought, “I love you, and God loves you so much more. May you get a glimpse of the love God has for you today, and may you share a glimpse with someone else.”
