UPDATE: AS OF MARCH 10, 2022, ALL SEEMS TO BE WELL IN EAST TEXAS. WE DO HAVE SEVERAL CASES, BUT PEOPLE ARE RESUMING MANY NORMAL ACTIVITIES. FCC IS DOING OUR BEST TO KEEP OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS SAFE. WE HAVE MASKS AND INDIVIDUAL COMMUNION PACKETS AVAILABLE FOR WORSHIP AND ALL OTHER GATHERINGS. WE ARE NOT SUGGESTING OR RECOMMENDING YOU WEAR A MASK. HOWEVER, THEY ARE PROVIDED FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO PROTECT LOVE ONES AT HOME OR THEMSELVES.
UPDATE: As of August, 2021, The Delta variant seems to be on the rise, so we are strongly encouraging people who can tolerate the mask to please wear them as much as possible when participating in church activities.
It is hard to miss the news coverage of the spread of COVID-19 aka “the Coronavirus.” Schools, churches, and organizations are having to make decisions regarding programming and ministries.
First Christian Church is monitoring this situation closely.
The General Board of First Christian Church met May 17, 2021 and decided that FCC will no longer require the wearing of a masks. Of course, please feel free to do so if you are concerned. Thank you for your commitment to care for one another during this time.
